Function	Hypothesis
Attention-seeking behavior	When the individual feels that a task in individualized learning is difficult or unpleasant, or when no task or material is provided, the student engages in attention-seeking behavior to escape from the task or from a boring situation.
Impulsive behavior	When two or more students are participating in a group lesson and the teacher is focusing on other students instead of the target student, the student exhibits impulsive behavior to gain the teacher’s attention or to receive assistance with the task.
